As you may have noticed, the vast majority of NFL games during the first week of football will air on broadcast television networks; which means all you’ll need is an over-the-air antenna to tune in. OTA antennas provide immense value, are capable of 1080 HD, and can easily purchased online or in stores.
You might have also noticed that a lot of the games listed above air on the same networks, at the same time. What that means for you, the OTA enthusiast, is that only one of those games will be available on your local broadcast.
Now the game you will have access too will entirely hinge on where you live. So if you live close to Atlanta, odds are you’ll end up getting the Falcons on TV. The TV schedules have not been posted yet, but you can always check out 506sports to see a detailed breakdown of which game will air in your area.
The only two games that you won’t be able to watch with an OTA antenna are the Monday Night Football games airing on ESPN. In order to watch those games, you’ll need a subscription to an online streaming service that carries ESPN. Here are a few popular services that carry ESPN.
Each service has their own positive and negative attributes, so be sure to check out the reviews for each one.
