Weekly Review of Games Broadcast in Your Area

It was an exciting lineup of football last week. In case you missed it, the unbeaten Broncos were finally taken down by the Indianapolis Colts by 3 points is a stellar showdown; and in Charlotte, the Carolina Panthers silenced their critics by defeating the formidable Green Bay Packers.

Coming into week 10 of the NFL, for some it’s going to be a make or break moment and for other teams the season is practically over. The Cowboys and the Lions don’t have much hope for the rest of the season, but what about the rest? Let’s find out with this week’s matchups for NFL Week 10!

First here’s the schedule all of the NFL games for this week:

Week 10 NFL Schedule

Week 10 NFL Schedule

Now let’s take a look at the broadcast coverage for the games.

CBS: Thursday Night Football

There is no way to watch the Thursday night game without a NFL Game Pass subscription. But make sure you check back in for week 13, as we will be able to watch the Packers vs the Lions with an OTA Antenna!

CBS: Early Sunday Games

Week 10 CBS Early

Featured Matchup – Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 1:00 PM ET

Going into this matchup, the Browns are the clear underdog but what’s surprising is that it’s not by much. The early line on the game has the Steelers favored by 4.5 points, which is a rather small gap. The reason why? Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was injured in last week’s game and his playing status is still unknown. Having Big Ben out of the game could be a big bonus to the Browns, but will it be enough? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

Alternative Matchup – Chicago Bears vs. St. Louis Rams, 4:25 PM ET

FOX: Early Sunday Games

Week 10 FOX

Featured Matchup – Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1:00 PM ET

It has been a rough season for the Dallas Cowboys. After winning their two opening games, Dallas has been on a solid losing streak that doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. Likewise, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled throughout the season, albeit not as consistently as Dallas. With their Super Bowl dreams all but dead, this will be more of a match of pride than of glory.

Alternative Matchup – Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers, 1:00 PM ET

CBS: Afternoon Sunday Games

Week 10 CBS Late

Featured Matchup – New England Patriots vs. New York Giants, 4:25 PM ET

On paper the undefeated Patriots should have no trouble handling the 5-4 Giants, but history tells a different tale. The Giants have defeated New England in their last 3 meetings, two of which were Super Bowl appearances. New York might not have the most stellar record this season, but if there was ever time for an upset against New England this would be it.

Alternative Matchup – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos, 4:25 PM ET

NBC: Sunday Night Football

Featured Matchup – Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks, 8:30 PM ET

Although it’s been a rollercoaster ride so far for the Seattle Seahawks, their destiny still lies very much in their own hands. The same could be said of Arizona, who sits comfortably at 6-2. With both teams evenly matched, this should be an exciting NFC West matchup!

ESPN: Monday Night Football

Featured Matchup – Texans vs. Bengals, 8:30 PM ET

Watching Football Without a Cable Subscription

Now if you’re wondering how to watch these exciting matchups, you’re in for some good news. All of these games can be caught over-the-air with a simple OTA antenna. Most antenna’s a relatively cheap, costing between $30 and $60.

If you can’t watch these games because your outside of the market, have no fear. The NFL offers a streaming service called NFL Game Pass where you can watch every NFL game right after it airs. It’s only $99 a season, far cheaper than cable, and there’s even 7-day free trial if you want to give it a look.

Finally, if your are not already aware, Sling TV has taken the market by storm; and if you are looking to watch Monday Night Football, they offer ESPN and a 7-day free trial.

So do you think the Patriots will fold against the Patriots again or will Tom Brady break the cycle?
