It’s Week 15 of the NFL, which means the intensity has been ratcheted up to a whole new level. In case you missed it, it was a blowout weekend last week. The Panthers pulverized the Falcons, the Packers put away Dallas, and the Patriots broke their two-game losing streak by dismantling the Texans. So are we fated to see a repeat performance from the league this week? Let’s find out…
But first, here is the schedule for Week 15 of the NFL.
Now, here are the games you should be watching:
Featured Matchup – Buccaneers vs. Rams, 8:30 PM EST on NFL Network
The Rams will face the Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football and everyone is expecting it to be a close game. The Buccaneers lost their home game against the Saints last week and now face a short week before traveling to St. Louis. The Rams, on the other hand, won last week at home against the Lions. With all these variables at play, I have no idea how this game will play out. If you’re as curious as I am, Game Pass is the only way to watch.
Featured Matchup – Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots, 1:00 PM ET
The Patriots are going into this game with a victory over Houston last week and hope to keep the momentum going. The Titans will have their work cut out for them as double-digit underdogs. But as the Bleacher Report notes, double-digit underdogs this season have gone 11-6 against the spread and won five of those games outright, which means there’s still hope for Tennessee.
Alternative matchup – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens, 1:00 PM ET
Featured Matchup – Carolina Panthers vs. New York Giants, 1:00 PM ET
This is one of those classic mismatches on paper that turn out to be a lot different in practice. The Panthers are perfect this season, with little opposition in their way, but they’ve yet to play the Giants; a team that’s won two Super Bowls under starting QB Eli Manning. Manning is a great clutch player, and with the odds stacked against the Giants, the Panthers will have their hands more than full with New York.
Alternative matchup – Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings, 1:00 PM ET
Featured Matchup – Denver Broncos vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 4:24 PM ET
Pittsburgh is riding high this week after yanking away AFC North title from Cincinnati. The Steelers have had a bit of a rough season, but they keep getting better as it continues; which could be bad news for Denver. The Broncos have been solid all season, but faltered last week against Oakland and are still without star QB Peyton Manning. With a solid defense to fall back on, the Broncos have a fighting chance but the Steelers are still the favorites for this matchup.
Alternative matchup – Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Francisco Chargers, 4:25 PM ET
Featured matchup – Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints, 8:30 PM ET
This game is going to be a tough call. Both the Lions and Saints have struggled tremendously this year, and there’s little hope of an upward swing right now. The Lions have proved feisty on the road, upsetting Green Bay earlier in the year, but the Saints will be playing for a home crowd. Either way, this battle of the bottoms should make for some interesting football and television.
To watch this matchup you will either need a subscription to Game Pass or Sling TV, which comes with ESPN in their base package and offers a 7-day free trial just like Game Pass.
As always, all you need to do to catch most of these fantastic games is an over-the-air antenna; which gives you unlimited access to all the major broadcast networks in 1080 HD. If for some reason you can’t catch your favorite game, then check out NFL Game Pass for $99 a year. It’s full of extra goodies and it gives you access to every NFL game this season (7-day trial).
